Working for a start-up company, Peter Flippen sold software to owners and executives of commercial HVAC companies and enjoyed working with the industry. One thing Peter observed was the increasing rate at which his HVAC clients were either buying businesses or selling their businesses. Little did he know, it was the start of a wave of industry consolidation.
As Peter considered business ideas, the idea of a mergers and acquisitions (M&A) business focused on the HVAC industry kept surfacing. Conveniently, his brother worked as the head of M&A at one of the largest mechanical contractors in the US. After getting his brother’s input, talking with HVAC owners and executives, and frankly, praying about whether he was making a huge mistake, Peter launched IEI Advisors in 2018 naming the company after his father's company, IEI Construction.
The IEI Advisors team is proud of the product that has resulted from our journey. Our unique combination of HVAC industry knowledge, buyer connections, deal experience, and sales know-how helps us serve owners with Integrity, Excellence, and Innovation (IEI).
